Preschool: Do three requirements including the two starred *
_____1.* What is a group of wolves called? What are the different "ranks" among wolves?
_____2.* Why does a wolf howl?
Level 1: Do four requirements including the two starred *
_____1.* Do Preschool requirements 1 & 2.
_____2.* Draw a detailed picture of a wolf and label the different body parts that are different from humans.
Level 2: Do five requirements including the two starred *
_____1.* Do Level 1 requirements 1 & 2.
_____2.* Learn about a wolf's diet. What type of animals do they prey on? How do they hunt?
Level 3: Do six requirements including the two starred *
_____1.* Do Level 2 requirements 1 & 2.
_____2.* Watch a documentary about wolves and take notes on what you learn.
Level 4: Do seven requirements including the two starred *
_____1.* Do Level 3 requirements 1 & 2.
_____2.* List twenty different wolf breeds. Learn one fact about each breed.
Level 5: Do nine requirements including the two starred *
_____1.* Do Level 4 requirements 1 & 2.
_____2.* Teach someone how to do a skill from this badge or teach some knowledge about this badge to someone. You can teach kids, your spouse, seniors, anyone, just as long as you are sharing your new found knowledge. If for some reason you cannot teach what you have learned to someone else, you may choose an additional 2 optional requirements instead.
_____3. Where are wolves typically found? What type of habitat do they live in? Do some wolves prefer a colder climate while others prefer a warmer one?
_____4. Read about the first recorded taming of a wolf. Who tamed it? When and where did this take place? How did he tame the wolf?
_____5. Read a book about wolves, whether fictional or non-fictional. Make sure the book is at your appropriate age level.
_____6. Visit your local zoo to learn more about wolves. Read any information they have or ask one of the zoo attendants questions about their wolves.
_____7. What are some similarities between wolves and dogs? List at least five that you learn about.
_____8. Many times, wolves are portrayed as "savage." Some of them are, but most are simply afraid of humans and stay away. How do you think wolves got such a bad notoriety?
_____9. Learn about the life cycle of a wolf, from birth until death. How long until they are full grown? What is a typically life span?
_____10. Write a story or play about a wolf. Read or perform it for your family or club.
