This badge is meant to give a general understanding of several
different types of natural wonders.  If you wish
to specialize in a
specific natural wonder, such as waterfalls or volcanoes, please see the Natural
Wonders
(Specific) badge.  The 'General' category badge is perfect for
family trips across a large area with stops at
famous
sites.

Level 1s:  Do four requirements
including the one starred.

_____ 1.*  Learn about at least three
different types of natural wonders.  Find out what the largest, tallest, or
oldest example is for each of the natural wonders you learned about, and
locate it on a map.

The following  requirement can be repeated more than
once if they take place at different natural wonder
locations.

_____ 2.  Visit a natural wonder (a waterfall, canyon,
coral reef, etc.). What is the history of this particular
site?  Has it
changed much in the last two hundred years?  Was it ever privately owned?  Has
it been
abused?  Has it been used for something other than a tourist
attraction?

_____ 3.  Visit a visitor’s center at a natural wonder and
spend at least 30 minutes looking around.

_____ 4.  Attend an
authority-led session or class about a natural wonder.

_____ 5.  Do a
photo shoot of a natural wonder or make a collage of photos you have
gathered.

_____ 6.  Write a journal entry or a letter describing a visit
you made to a natural wonder.

_____ 7.  Write or report, or give an oral
report, on a natural wonder.

_____ 8.  Create a piece of art inspired by
a natural wonder.

_____ 9.  Hike or walk around a natural wonder for at
least 30 minutes.

Level 2:  Do five requirements
