A Note From the Founder – Quest Member of the Month Nominations

by Kerry Cordy

As a brand new decade begins, we would like to start highlighting Quest members and their accomplishments on a more regular basis, but we need your help!  Each month we will choose a Quest Member of the month that we feel represents what Quest is all about.  While earning awards and badges is always admirable, we are also looking for more day to day role models.  Do you have a member in your club or family that is particularly kind and helpful that you would like to honor?  What about someone who did something wonderful for someone in their community?  Do you have a member in your club you have watched grow into a leadership role?  What about public speaking or helping to mentor younger members in the club?  Do you know a member who embodies lifelong learning and all that represents? Quest Member of the month is not limited to club members, but is open to Indivudals, Leaders, Volunteers and Parents as well.  Do you have a parent who quietly helps out in the background that you couldn’t do without?  What about fundraising volunteers who take on the huge task of money earning?  Is your leader a veteran who served our country? Who do you feel fully represents Quest?  Send us their story and a picture to kerry@questclubs.com with the subject line Quest Member of the Month to nominate them.  Each Quest Member of the month chosen will receive a magnetic pendant or keychain with the Quest logo and two inserts of their choice.

American Kennel Club – Meet the Breeds!

by Meredith Saraceno

My name is Meredith Saraceno and I am the Public Education Manager at the American Kennel Club.  American Kennel Club will be hosting AKC Meet the Breeds on January 25th and 26th, 2020 at the Javits Center in New York City.

The AKC Patch Program will take place at this event and we are inviting local youth groups to attend. This program allows youth of all ages to learn about purebred dogs and responsible dog ownership. Lessons include learning about the 7 AKC breed groups, responsible dog ownership, basic canine care, and more. This program is an interactive, hands-on learning experience that emphasizes the importance of being a responsible dog owner and a good citizen. Each participant will receive a free patch.

We recently hosted troops from Quest at a similar program in Orlando and we are hoping to continue our relationship with your great organization through this event.
